No, didn't touch the brakes, not the hub but either because I took the hubs off to try the hand brake and see what was happening, still stuck. Its both sides too so I'm thinking maybe cable sticking

just drove it a few miles and it sounds as if the brakes are rubbing on the drum, im thinking maybe i knocked them when taking hubs off so maybe they do need adjusting, if i adjust them away from the drum the automatic adjusters will ssort the rest wont they?

What's the difference  if the adjuster is still working then yes lifting and releasing the handbrake should tighten it, but alot of the adjusters don't work very well or atall so they need manually tightened
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

Used hand brake a few times and seems to be getting better, decided I'm gonna change shoes and give everything a good clean and lubricate
