Underseat Subwoofers

Post by Lacey_Corsa »

Hey all

i am looking into sorting a well balanced, quality sounding sub out and came across these underseat ones

i have always had, in the past, a boot mounted setup. However it causes uneven weight distribution, poor handling, worse fuel eceonomy resulting etc
(what i have found with previous heavy, power hungry 2-sub installs!)

am i right in saying these underseat ones will even out weight distribution while also not adding to these side effects as much?

also ive just thought....the amp is under the other seat so it will need a shorter wire to the sub and from the battery also giving slightly better response than trailing a long wire to the boot?

im looking at an FLI branded one (10 inch tops) in an underseat MDF enclosure with matching RMS and Watts to all other speakers, amp and HU

urrr :? i guess, i havent really had alot to do with under seat subs to be honest, so i cant say for certain what they'l be like, but it'd be worth a try if your willing to buy the sub and wire it up.

yea neither have i really, same to wire up and control of course, just the bass is more centralised to the driver than the boot i would think

just wondered with the underseat enclosure being shallower to fit underseat, could that effect performance of a sub at all?

really would like a great sounding setup but still want the bootspace and without comprimise to handling etc
