B204 into Corsa B

Post by stanc3w0rks »

Has anyone got any info on this swap? I know I need to customise an engine and probably gearbox mount. The wiring is going to be hard. Any way to bypass the imobiliser without reflashing the Ecu? Would the saab gearbox work with the Corsa? I dont think it would as I think the saab gearbox does not use a cable.

You'd need to get on mig if it's still going and talk to one of the vauxhall guru's from back in the day

I know you need mounts but they can be bought off the shelf from eBay or lmf, the chassis needs a wallop cut out of it and the immobiliser just needs the chip from the key from the donor
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

So for the immobiliser, would I just tape the saab key to the saab ecu and use corsa key and barrell??

Yeah or put the chip into the corsa key so it's immobilised when it's parked on the drive

Good thinking ;) joined mig to ask a few questions. Finding a f20 box in the west of Ireland is going to be the hardest part I think lol.

You need cut out a bit of the drivers side of the chassis
Get the ecu remapped to get the immobiliser or get the early one they don't have them fitted then make up an o/s engine mount
Then it's just patching in the loom or go to Saab uk there is a guy that makes up the looms so it's nearly plug and play

Thanks for that info. Trying to get in contact with Nige for the loom adapter. Does the ecu need flashing for immobiliser or will the way Johnny said work?

The later ones need a remap
The early ones don't
It's the Saab ecu I am on about
You can patch the engine loom in its just the wires don't match up with Vauxhall

Just don't use a 1.0 as you will need to change the dash loom

You will need the full engine loom with the ecu plugs

Thanks. Wasn't sure if I needed any of the loom that runs up behind the dash. So basically I just need the part of the loom running from the ECU to engine and disconnect the part going in behind dash?

Have you got the f23 box and shafts
There are 2 Ecus 1 has 2 plugs if you got that one you will need the plug from the dash loom if it's not you just do like the xe conversion
