Key fob problem

Post by Barraclough »

My astra key fob has suddenly stopped working today. Was working ok and suddenly wouldn't lock or unlock although the light was lighting up.
I have the common fault of the battery holder coming lose, I have a peice of card holding it in place, changed that and tried the old one and now it won't light up for the lock button and will light up every other time I press unlock.
Is this normal activity for something simple like the battery going?

Bought 2 batteries for £5. Fitted one and it didn't work, put on the ignition and tried again, sorted! And even more responsive than before. Ordered a flip key conversion now :)

They are good it's just fiddly to make up as you have a small toll pin that hold the key blade in
Mine took about 5 mins to make up

Yeah looks fairly simple. Do they hold in well with the battery holder broke and card holding it in place?
