The repair place is right near my work which is handy. They asked for it today but got work.

Sucks about the car mate :( good job it's going your way though

Is it just a dent in the tailgate and bumper? I can't understand how that's borderline, it's a sub 100 quid repair surely? You can pick a bumper up for 10-20 quid and a tailgate for 40-50 quid
If it doesn't fit,
force it,
If it breaks,
It needed replacing anyway

If its the case mate ye then insurances use brand new gm parts and the cost for labour and paint and if it passes 2/3s of the value they will just rite it off as it wud be cheaper for them to do that tbh which sucks wen ya want the car like i did with my corsa. Is there any boot pan damage behind the bumper
If it ain't green and black send it back :D

If they write it off
But it back you would get a bumper and tailgate for less than £100 then it's just fitting them as long as the boot floor is not damaged

Gonna try get all I can off him. The Mrs can't just sit in the car with out worrying about other cars. If the air bag would have gone off, would have been disastrous for the baby. Someone at work is putting me on to his soliciter mate and speaking to my auntie who is a soliciter later to see what I can go for.

Looking at the pictures I'd be amazed if there's any floor damage, I'd honestly be surprised if the bumper bar is kinked and there made from paper

No it doesn't because then everyone else's premiums go up, if your actually in pain then claim but don't be a scumbag

Everyone pays when someone commits insurance fraud

I agree and now it's not that easy to claim as you have now got to go up in from of a panel
And also when you claim now on insurance it puts yours up a bit that's why there are now these Claim management company's
As if you use them you don't need to tell your insurance when you claim

Dan the air bags will only go off in a front impact as the work of force
In a rear shunt the air bag will only go off if you hit something in front at force
As when I got hit up the back at 3mph and hit a car in front my air bags didn't go off
