Not been on here in a while but I've been looking at vectras for a while but nothing close has come up but this is for sale in my village but should the high milage put me off?

Love the facelift veccy c's

The 1.9 is one of there stronger diesels but I think they still have problems with the injector pump but if it's been serviced regularly with the diesel filter changed they tend to last the life of the engine

They don't really suffer from rust but check the usual spots

They have a couple of faults
The Ecu for the injector pump egr valves and swirl flaps in the inlet manifold can break up
The 1.9 is a good strong engine other than that

Thanks for that info! Would those already have gone wrong within the years of usage so far or is it at the stage where they will go wrong?

Swirl flaps and egr mainly just clog up so they just need cleaned out every now and then, the injector pump can go at any time, it purely depends on service history as I said above they do tend to last when there looked after
